Job Description
Our client is a semi-startup and a subsidiary of a global leader in speciality coatings. The company specializes in providing consulting services, as well as testing and analyzing the application of chemical products, paints, and coatings.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Duties:
- Managing Accounts Receivable (intercompany) and Accounts Payable (intercompany and 3rd party) related functions and scope.
- Performing monthly Interco Confirmation and resolving any differences.
- Approving payments, supplier invoices, and vendor creation/amendments.
- Overseeing month-end closing tasks and reviewing monthly financials, such as cash flow management and expenses.
- Preparing and submitting financial data to the Group monthly following their closing timeline.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and petty cash.
- Handling preparation of withholding tax and value-added tax (VAT).
- Working with the Tax Agent on the annual external audit and filing corporate income tax computations.
- Assisting the Tax Agent in audit/tax schedules and addressing audit/tax queries.
- Leading the annual budget exercise and inputting numbers into the reporting system.
- Managing the annual transfer pricing questionnaire exercise.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Assisting the Finance Leader in Singapore with the submission of the annual and half-yearly Letter of Representation to the Group.
HR Admin:
- Ensuring new joiners' and leavers' statuses are updated in the benefits programme, such as group medical insurance and telephone subscriptions for sales staff.
- Communicating with the local team to align with the latest benefits programme.
- Supporting recruitment for non-management staff when necessary.
Office Admin:
- Assisting with ordering and controlling office supplies.
- Handling ad-hoc office-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in closing financial accounts.
- Fair to good command of English (able to report to Singapore).
- CPD license is a plus.
