Our client is a global leader in auto parts manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing quarterly product cost monitoring reports for submission to the corporate team.
• Preparing monthly abnormal reports for management review and submission to the corporate team.
• Preparing the annual normal rate report to support standard cost revisions.
• Preparing annual standard costs.
• Assisting the business by suggesting topics related to costing.
• Establishing transfer pricing.
• Analyzing cost variances and providing supporting information.
• Rolling up costs for new product introductions.
• Preparing monthly journal entries related to inventory, freight costs, and other costing matters.
• Maintaining and reviewing the general ledger and reconciling balance sheets for inventory and related accounts.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards and regulations.
• Assisting with deliverables for monthly/quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by internal and external auditors.
• Preparing ad-hoc reports and analyses on cost accounting questions and assisting with special projects as requested.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
• 2+ years’ experience in general accounting or cost accounting.
• General familiarity with the apparel industry selected.
• Computer literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use PowerPoint and Power Apps.
• Experience with accounting software, such as SAP.
