Job Description
Our client is leading global player in chemical innovation & sustainability, who engage in producing and marketing five major product groups – Chlor-alkali, Epichlorohydrin, Epoxy Resins, Phosphates and Sulphites.
Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Manager will be responsible for the following key functions:
- Prepare and implement a preventive maintenance schedule.
- Collaborate as a team member to initiate proactive maintenance methodologies to improve the reliability of mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with the team for annual shutdown planning.
- Participate in breakdown root cause analysis and suggest/implement technological solutions to address issues.
- Manage facilities such as TEC 1, TEC 2, TEC 3, BPF/MP6/7, MP1, Pilot, Utilities, and ETP for civil maintenance.
- Maintain equipment, including pumps, vacuum pumps, gear pumps, centrifugal pumps, agitators, and flackers.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of utilities, such as DM Plant, Hot Oil Systems (HM), Cooling Towers, and Fire Water Pump Houses.
- Control resource consumption in utilities.
- Review utility operations and implement energy conservation measures.
- Manage and control shift operations.
- Monitor and optimize mechanical/utility costs regularly.
- Track and optimize maintenance costs on an ongoing basis.
- Drive improvement and modification initiatives.
- Ensure safety and statutory compliance.
- Facilitate people development and team growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineer with 10-15 years maintenance experience in the Chemical / Petrochemicals industries.
- Good interpersonal relations.
- Good command of English.
