Job Description
- Driving the construction site compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHS&E) standards.
- Ensuring construction site compliance with legal requirements and Tetra Pak policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assisting the factory in preventing OHS&E impacts from construction operations.
- Performing factory risk assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments related to construction activities.
- Coordinating with the contractor team and contractor safety officers to ensure OHS&E compliance on the construction site.
- Controlling permits to work for construction site contractors, including reviewing Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Inspecting and monitoring site conditions to ensure compliance with OHS&E regulations and permits to work.
- Conducting regular safety audits of the construction site operations.
- Managing contractor OHS&E training and conducting safety orientations for construction site visitors.
- Collaborating with the contractor team to ensure emergency preparedness on the construction site and performing duties as outlined in the emergency plan.
- Inspecting the conditions of construction equipment (e.g., scaffolding, mobile cranes, MHE, lifting equipment) for safety.
- Investigating and analyzing OHS&E accidents and near misses related to construction operations.
- Gathering OHS&E issues and suggestions, reporting them to superiors, and driving the implementation of improvement plans.
- Inspecting the readiness of all required safety signs, hazard warning signs, and other necessary signage.
- Collaborating with the contractor team to organize and conduct safety activities to enhance safety awareness.
- Preparing necessary OHS&E reports.
- Performing other tasks as required according to company policies and supervisor’s assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification as a Safety Officer at a professional level.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in OHS roles, with at least 1 year in safety management within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards, Thai regulations, and related requirements.
- Experience in implementing or maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Ability to lead the OHS&E management system on construction sites.
- Knowledge and certification in machinery inspections related to construction operations (e.g., work at height, scaffolding safety, hot work).
- Strong English communication skills and proficiency in computer programs.
