Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in Plastic Injection/Precision Molding to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth within the Automotive and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sectors. This role is focused on expanding the company’s market presence by developing new customer relationships, winning business from global automotive and EMS companies, and driving strategic market penetration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and targeting new business opportunities within the Automotive and EMS industries, focusing on global customers with operations in the local Thailand and SEA.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies to win new customers and expand the company's presence in the automotive and EMS sectors.
  • Building and maintaining a sales pipeline, managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.
  • Leading efforts to increase market share by introducing new services and products to both new and existing customers in the automotive and EMS markets.
  • Setting and meeting sales and revenue KPIs that align with the company’s financial objectives.
  • Managing the quotation process, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing that reflects both the customer’s needs and the company’s cost structure.
  • Staying informed on market trends and technological advancements within the automotive and EMS industries, leveraging insights to identify business opportunities.
  • Fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies, and establishing long-term partnerships that drive sustainable business growth.
  • Providing regular updates and business reports to senior management, outlining progress, opportunities, and any market challenges.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development from a Plastics manufacturing or Injection Molding business with a proven track record of deals with the Automotive and/or EMS markets.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with technical expertise in plastics and mouldings required.
  • Strong industry network, particularly with key decision-makers within EMS and Automotive companies.
  • Deep knowledge of the plastics manufacturing, injection and Precision Molding processes.
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of closing deals and delivering new business wins.
  • Excellent communication in English, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with cost structure analysis, ensuring that quotes are competitive and aligned with market expectations.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years from a Plastic injection or precision moulding background.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 30%.
