Job Description

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of automotive parts, specializing in both combustion and electric vehicles (EVs).

POSITION SUMMARY

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager oversees daily activities and staff related to health, safety, and environmental matters. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant government safety bureaus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying, reducing, eliminating, and controlling hazards to personnel, equipment, and facilities.
  • Recognizing, evaluating, and controlling environmental factors or stresses arising from the workplace.
  • Conducting accident and incident investigations.
  • Managing data to support a proactive approach to accident prevention.
  • Developing, coordinating, and conducting safety and environmental training.
  • Developing and administering policies and procedures. 

ADDITIONAL KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Registered Safety Professional with the Thai Government.
  • Hazardous Substance Controller License with the Thai Government.
  • NEBOSH Certification.
  • Internal or Lead Auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 9001.
  • HAZ Waste Certification.
  • Instructor Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Dangerous Goods Act (Thailand).
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Highly fluent in written and spoken English.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field, plus eight years of experience in industrial plant operations, ideally within the automotive, explosives, or propulsion manufacturing sectors.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a chemical, explosive, or manufacturing environment, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge.
  • Expertise in solid propellants or explosives, including their safe handling requirements, with ongoing training to stay updated on current laws and regulatory procedures.
  • Proactive and assertive in enforcing compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, particularly regarding plant and equipment layout issues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good in English.
