Our client is an industrial supplies manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Managing purchasing tasks within the Technical and Engineering domain.
- Sourcing, assessing and approving new suppliers.
- Conducting price negotiations and facilitating comparisons.
- Overseeing daily purchasing operations, including purchase order processing.
- Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to fulfil requirements.
- Monitoring and regulating the delivery of goods and services.
- Verifying received goods upon delivery.
- Liaising with the Accounting department for payment coordination.
- Maintaining and updating supplier contact information and conducting supplier evaluations.
- Adhering to all purchasing-related procedures and work instructions.
- Undertaking additional assignments as delegated by the Supply Chain Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement engineering or purchasing.
- Proficient in supplier management and indirect sourcing.
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude, self-motivation, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Possesses a robust understanding of material planning and strong negotiation abilities.
- Good relationship management skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards of quality systems.
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
