Job Description

PRTR is now working with a global bank to get the right candidate for the role of Finance Manager (up to AVP level). 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Compile and submit regulatory reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for the appropriate regulatory bodies.
  • Regularly prepare the financial statements for the bank.
  • Ensure the timely submission of all local regulatory reports.
  • Address any validation exceptions from the Bank of Thailand (BOT) within specified deadlines.
  • Complete assigned Head Office reports and submit them promptly.
  • Collaborate with senior finance colleagues to manage routine accounting tasks, such as processing accounting entries, verifying transactions, and assessing the fair market value of investments.
  • Generate payment vouchers for vendor payments, ensuring all supporting documents are complete and authorized, and that accounting entries are accurate.
  • Maintain and update the fixed assets register, conduct physical asset checks, and record monthly depreciation in the general ledger.
  • Handle the monthly submission of Special Business Tax and Withholding Tax to the Revenue Department, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of calculations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with BOT officers regarding reporting matters.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for the review and audit of financial statements.
  • Provide financial support for Head Office and Branch initiatives and projects.
  • Assist the supervisor with any additional duties as required.
  • Fill in for other finance staff during their absences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Preference for candidates with experience or a background in the Banking industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in regulatory reporting within banking.
  • Proficiency in withholding tax and specific business tax regulations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with regulators, internal teams (both within finance and other departments), and head office.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in English communication.
