Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Industrial Engineer to join our production team. This role is responsible for supporting new product introduction (NPI), improving production processes, optimizing line performance, and ensuring cost-effective manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, production planning, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in analyzing production data, designing tools and layouts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and meet business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- New Product Introduction (NPI) and Manufacturing:
- Oversee the technology transfer, acceptance, and implementation of new products.
- Develop and improve standard working hours and operational processes to enhance efficiency.
- Evaluate, design, and improve tools, fixtures, and production methods.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to optimize performance.
- Production Planning & Optimization:
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Line improvement - line capacity and cycle time study, cycle time improvement and line balancing.
- Head-count study and improvement.
- Cost Analysis and Control:
- Assist in product quoting and establish standard cost structures.
- Identify, analyze, and claim abnormal working hours and failure costs to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:
- Propose and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
- Facilitate cross-departmental communication and integration for smooth operations.
- Plan and design layout and workstation movement activities based on lean concepts for better workflow and efficiency.
- Design workstations, trollies, and other tools to improve the space utilization and line efficiency.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors as needed.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years related experiences.
Requirements:
- Willing to work 6 days a week.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Possess Industrial Engineering knowledge such as Plant Layout, Capacity Planning, Lean Manufacturing and others.
- Proficient in English to effectively communicate with English-speaking clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experienced with AutoCAD and ERP, MRP systems for production planning and inventory control.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
