Job Description

Our client is an international automotive parts manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and evaluating production processes, layouts, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Leading and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, 8D Problem-Solving, and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Developing and optimizing Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), production line balancing, and time studies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to implement cost-reduction projects and cycle time improvements.
  • Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions to resolve manufacturing inefficiencies and quality issues.
  • Driving waste reduction initiatives, focusing on reducing the 7 Wastes (Muda) and improving overall factory productivity.
  • Developing and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor production performance and report on progress toward operational goals.
  • Utilizing Six Sigma and statistical methods to analyze production data, reduce variability, and improve process control.
  • Preparing and presenting project plans, cost analyses, and ROI calculations to support business decisions and continuous improvement strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in automotive manufacturing with expertise in lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
  • Proficiency in lean tools like Kaizen, 5 Why, FMEA, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, AutoCAD, and relevant industrial engineering software.
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of automation, ISO/TS standards, and cost optimization.
