Job Description
Our client is an international automotive parts manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and evaluating production processes, layouts, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Leading and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, 8D Problem-Solving, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Developing and optimizing Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), production line balancing, and time studies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to implement cost-reduction projects and cycle time improvements.
- Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions to resolve manufacturing inefficiencies and quality issues.
- Driving waste reduction initiatives, focusing on reducing the 7 Wastes (Muda) and improving overall factory productivity.
- Developing and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor production performance and report on progress toward operational goals.
- Utilizing Six Sigma and statistical methods to analyze production data, reduce variability, and improve process control.
- Preparing and presenting project plans, cost analyses, and ROI calculations to support business decisions and continuous improvement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in automotive manufacturing with expertise in lean manufacturing techniques.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
- Proficiency in lean tools like Kaizen, 5 Why, FMEA, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, AutoCAD, and relevant industrial engineering software.
- Excellent communication skills and knowledge of automation, ISO/TS standards, and cost optimization.
