Job Description

Our client is a well-known Japanese company that primarily manufactures industrial machinery and equipment in the Ladkrabang area.

Job Purpose:

  • Overseeing all aspects of production engineering operations, machinery maintenance, budgeting, work environment, product quality, and workforce safety.
  • Managing, monitoring, and supervising the engineering and maintenance teams to meet the division’s objectives, while collaborating with other departments to support manufacturing operations.
  • Planning and managing the introduction of new products or production processes to meet sales demands, and providing methods, tools, and staff training to ensure work is completed to specified standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing departmental policies and strategies that align with the overall manufacturing division objectives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on production engineering and maintenance performance against goals (KPIs), especially related to new models, methods, and machine breakdowns.
  • Implementing the KAIZEN concept to improve efficiency, productivity, cycle times, safety, and work-in-process management.
  • Reducing production costs, focusing on process, material, labour, and scrap costs, as well as the usage of indirect materials and factory supplies.
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) plans for machinery, including spare parts management.
  • Determining staffing requirements and managing all personnel-related matters.
  • Coordinating with other departments to resolve production issues.
  • Developing and enhancing the skills of Section Managers to build a highly competent team.
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned by management within the department.

Supervisory Responsibilities (if applicable):

  • Leading and coaching the Section Managers in Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Evaluating the performance of subordinates.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building good relationships both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, project management, or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a management position.
  • Extensive experience in engineering, maintenance, and production management.
  • Strong leadership, work ethic, and management experience.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of energy conservation practices.
  • Technical management skills for effective teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English, with a TOEIC score of 500 or higher advantageous.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
