Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer of key compressor parts used in the air conditioning and refrigeration industries.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a diverse Engineering Team encompassing:
- Handling Technical Infrastructure Specification.
- Handling the Development of Work Instructions.
- Designing and implementing technical studies e.g. Time in Motion.
- Handling the technical support for products and product conditioning procedures.
- Handling the technical drawings and documentation generation and control.
- Processing improvement and validation activities.
- Handling the Technical and Quality Approval Process.
- Adhering to Change Control processes (ECO) and development thereof.
- Adhering to Quality Procedures and development thereof for the team.
- Developing and managing Engineering resources to achieve business objectives.
- Inspiring engineering teams to deliver excellence in creative design, qualification and technical support services.
- Being the Project Manager and leader for complex technical projects, organizational development and continuous improvement projects involving engineering and other cross-functional team members.
- Managing department budget and finances.
Qualifications
- A degree in Ceramic, Chemical and Science. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience working in an industrial company is preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong mastery of process improvement tools i.e. lean manufacturing, six-sigma system, Kaizen, ISO, etc.
- At least 7-10 years of working experience in process and quality management in a manufacturing environment.
- A track record of positive results and an ability to be hands-on in manufacturing engineering, managing on ISO 9000, and ISO 14001. Interpersonal, self-confidence and enthusiasm.
- Experience and a solid understanding of working in a diverse and global organization.
- Analytical, excellent communication skills, good human skills.
- Proficient and savvy in, a strong background and understanding of SPC(Statistics Process Control) and the use of other statistical methods for setting specifications.
