Job Specific
· Serve food and beverages to guests.
· Set tables according to type of event and service standards.
· Answer questions on menu selections.
· Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, cooking orders, and product availability.
· Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
· Record food and beverage orders in POS at time of order.
· Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
· Assist the restaurant manager to lead the Food and Beverage team to promote the efficient preparation and service of food and beverage orders in the assigned area.
· Participate in the overall operation of the service team in assigned areas.
· Monitor the preparation and service of food and beverage orders.
· Assist with training and provide support so that new associates are fully oriented to proper procedures and policies.
· Ensure associates are working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met.
· Monitor the performance of others to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
· Identify and recommend new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
· Serve as a departmental role model by working alongside associates to perform technical and functional job duties.
· Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
· Ensure that associates are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job.
· Ensure associate compliance with company standards and policies and external regulations.
· Encourage and motivate associates to perform their best, take responsibility for tasks and assignments, make decisions and provide input on possible improvements.
· Assist management to ensure that associates have the necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs.
· Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines for shift or departmental operations to associates and ensure that they are understood.
· Listen to associate’s suggestions for improving how work is done and how guests are served, gaining management support as needed to act upon suggestions.
· Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
· Coach and develop associates.
· Collaborate with management to formally recognize associate’s performance contributions.
· Serve as the associate first point of contact as part of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
· Actively listen to and consider the concerns of associates, responding appropriately and effectively.
General Food and Beverage Services
· Complete opening duties and ensuring work area is clean and everything is in working order.
· Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
· Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
· Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
· Notify management of maintenance repairs issues.
· Report any employee, guest, and/or vendor incidents and accidents to management and Loss Prevention at the time of the incident and/or accident.
· Assist your and other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
· Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.
· Check with supervisor before leaving at end of shift.
· Ensure closing etiquette is followed so that guests do not feel rushed.
Cash Handling
· Process all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.
· Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).
· Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
· Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and keeping bank secure at all times.
· Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedures.
· Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials; and maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times.
Policies and Procedures
· Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
· Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
· Follow company and department policies and procedures.
· Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Guest Relations
· Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
· Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
· Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
· Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand specific process to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.
· Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
· Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.
· Assist individuals with disabilities, including assisting visually, hearing, or physically impaired individuals.
· Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
Communication
· Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
· Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
· Talk with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information.
· Discuss work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property.

Physical Tasks
· Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

· Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
· Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
· Follow property specific procedures for handling emergencies.
· Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
