The Human Resources Manager (SE Asia) will report to the Regional Director and work closely with the Regional Head of Human Resources. He or she will be required to deliver a high level of HR policy development and implementation across the various countries in the region. This is a full function HR role, with a strong focus on recruitment/talent development in the region. Leading senior international hiring projects and planning for the set-up of an academy to develop the pipeline of future talent are some of the key targets of the role. In addition to this, there will be emphasis on compensation & benefits and in general the setting up of HR functions and bench-marking for countries in the region. The implementation of these new initiatives and procedures will ensure that the company’s business continues to grow across the region.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject, with 10+ years of full-function HR experience and a minimum of 3 years in a middle management position. Experience of working within small to medium sized multi-national organizations, which have gone through periods of regional transition, expansion, or growth would be the most ideal. This experience would preferably come from related industries such as engineering or manufacturing, but as a bare minimum the person should be comfortable visiting and dealing with people in plant/factory environments. He or she will be a strong and balanced leader who is confident, dynamic and has a real drive and passion for learning about the products and getting involved on a business partner level. The ideal candidate will be an ASEAN national, who is able to be based in Vietnam and travel within the region between 20-50% of the time. In addition to being both business-focused and success-driven, this person will also need to possess very good spoken and written English skills.
