Our client is a global automotive parts manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing plant performance to balance internal efficiency and customer-focused effectiveness through Just Do It, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean implementation projects.
- Collaborating with management and department heads to develop and execute a Continuous Improvement (CI) roadmap, driving lean implementation initiatives.
- Managing industrial engineering tasks such as time studies, standardized work, delay studies, machine cycle checks, line balancing, method improvements, ergonomics, capacity and capability analysis, bottleneck elimination, OEE, and plant layout optimization.
- Conducting and establishing training on Lean Manufacturing tools, including WCM, TPM, TQM, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, QCC, KSS, and QC projects.
- Leading and consulting cross-departmental teams to enhance operational excellence and ensure sustainability.
- Initiating and managing projects focused on changeover, cycle time reduction, and line balancing.
- Acting as a change agent, fostering a positive culture of continuous improvement and deploying innovative strategies.
- Evaluating workforce utilization, facility layout, production costs, and process flows to maximize worker and equipment efficiency.
- Recommending improvements to reduce waste, reorganize workflows, and enhance production efficiency, including equipment and workstation optimization.
- Designing packaging, racks, and material presentation for optimized production processes.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in end-to-end business flow, lean transformations, and manufacturing/process engineering.
- Ability to instruct teams on Material & Information Flow and Lean principles.
- Skilled in generating clear work instructions and resolving assembly productivity challenges.
- Experienced in training and coaching on IE techniques and lean tools (Lean Sigma, Six Sigma, TPS, TPM, and TQM).
- Proven track record in implementing lean assessments, achieving CI savings, and delivering improvement roadmaps.
- Certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Minitab.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide and motivate teams.
