The company is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Food Application Manager to join the team.
- Being responsible for multiple ports of ingredients and food chemicals; flavor, food and beverage concentration
- Leading and mentoring a team of application scientists and technicians, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure successful project execution and achievement of team goals.
- Collaborating with customers to develop new product concepts, prototypes, and applications that showcase the company's capabilities and differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, marketing, and operations, to understand customer requirements, develop innovative solutions, and support product development initiatives.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
- Developing and optimising formulations for food and beverage products, incorporating company ingredients and flavours to meet customer specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Providing technical support to customers, sales teams, and business partners, including product demonstrations and presentations, on ingredient and flavor applications.
- Staying current with industry trends, market insights, and emerging technologies in food science and flavour chemistry, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the application team.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and guidelines e.g., hygiene, HACCP, food safety, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D, food product development, flavour applications, or related roles within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of food ingredients, flavour systems, and food processing technologies, with a focus on applications in food and beverage products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage the team.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
