Our client is a global leader in automotive products manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Leading the Finance and Accounting function in the organization assisting General Manager, cross-functional Departments, and management in complying with Accounting, Handing Audits (Statutory and Internal) Banking, MIS (Management Information System), BOI, Customs (Free zone), Revenue department, overall Tax regulations.
Accounting Section
- Controlling and leading the overall finance department.
- Analyzing income and expenses.
- Having Sales Knowledge of Inventory movements and reporting, Costing, and Master data controlling.
- Preparing and responsible for month-end closing activities (Statutory & Internal) i.e. Sales report preparation, Profitability report preparation forecasts financials preparation, etc.
- Preparing and responsible for Quarter closing activity i.e. preparation of Hyperion web forms and support in finishing Limited review.
- Creating Year-end closing activities, preparing annual audited financial statements, and arranging the sign-off of financials.
- Coordinating end-to-end Statutory and Internal Audits.
- Handling overall AP & AR controlling (AR-AP Reconciliations, Bank Reconciliations, ensuring documents with Thai law i.e., Customs, Revenue).
Finance & Forex Section
- Preparing Weekly Cash Forecasts.
- Reviewing all payments to local, International, and Intercompany to align with payment terms and payment cycles.
- Working and liaison with banking to open bank accounts, change authorized signatories, linking with the ERP system.
- Monitoring the Forex exposure and working with the Global forex team for periodic submission of Forex exposure Data and covering the direction with management approval.
- Monitoring the Forex availability for hassle-free overseas supplier payments, honoring forward contracts on maturity dates, etc.
Tax Section
- Preparing and filing corporate income tax (PRN.50 / PND. 51) submit to the revenue department and tax return.
- Handling Tax form, VAT, (check & reconcile VAT report PP.30, 36).
- Handling Tax form, WHT, (check & reconcile Withholding Tax report PND 3,53,54).
- Closing coordination with the Revenue department for Assessment closures/audits/pending recovery of VAT/CIT.
- Transferring pricing documentation preparation and coordination with the revenue department in line with the new transfer pricing law in Thailand.
Customs Section
- Having Good Knowledge of Free zone rules and customs regulations.
- Preparing Custom half-year/end-year reports and submit to the customs department within the due date.
- Checking Import & Export documentation for ensuring each shipment is as per customs law.
- Supporting Customs audit, a requirement from the Customs department.
BOI
- Having Good Knowledge of BOI Compliances and requirements.
- Coordinating with BOI for all related activities.
- Reporting the projects to progress Quarterly and Yearly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years working finance/accounting working experience in a multi-national company, at least 5 years at the management level.
- A CPD license is required.
- Good Knowledge and experience of Free zone area rules and regulations.
- Ability to get things done hands-on involving the cross-functional environment.
- Experience in managing the finance function of a manufacturing entity.
- High self-initiative and strong reliability.
- Accurate and detailed performance.
- Good command of English (oral and written).
- A good team player and leader.
- Good working in MS Office, Experience in QAD / SAP is preferred.
